The SMUN waterproof constant voltage power supply SMV-250 is a power supply product with relatively excellent performance. Here is its detailed introduction:


Basic parameters:
  • Output power: The rated power is 250W, which can meet the use of various equipment with higher power requirements.

  • Output voltage: There are various output voltages to choose from, such as 12V, 15V, 24V, 48V, etc. The voltage tolerance is ±1.0%, which can be adapted to loads with different voltage requirements. The rated current under different output voltages is also different. For example, when the output is 12V, the rated current is 20.8A; when the output is 15V, the rated current is 16.6A; when the output is 24V, the rated current is 10.4A; when the output is 48V, the rated current is 5.2A.

  • Input voltage range: The input voltage range is 170-264VAC, which is suitable for most mains voltages and has good versatility and compatibility. The frequency range is 47-63Hz.

Protection functions:
  • Short circuit protection: When a short circuit fault occurs at the power output end, the short circuit protection mechanism will be activated. The short circuit protection mode is hiccup mode, which can automatically resume normal operation after the fault is removed, effectively preventing the power supply from being damaged or causing safety problems due to excessive short circuit current.

  • Overload protection: If the load current exceeds 105%-135% of the rated output power of the power supply, the overload protection will be activated. Also using hiccup mode, it will automatically restart after the load returns to normal, protecting the power supply and load equipment.

  • Overvoltage protection: When the output voltage exceeds 135%-150% of the rated output power, the overvoltage protection will start to prevent excessive voltage from causing damage to the load equipment.

  • Overtemperature protection: When the temperature of the internal transistor of the power supply exceeds 150°C, the overtemperature protection will be activated, cutting off the output and automatically resuming work after the temperature returns to normal to ensure that the power supply operates within a safe temperature range.

Other characteristics:
  • Waterproof performance: The waterproof level reaches IP67, with good waterproof and dustproof capabilities. It can be applied to harsh environments such as outdoors and humidity, such as outdoor lighting and landscape engineering scenarios. It can effectively resist the intrusion of moisture and dust and ensure the normal operation and service life of the power supply.

  • Volume and weight: The volume is relatively small. The size is 235*120*56mm. The weight varies according to specific models. Generally, it is about 2.5 kilograms (for example, the weight of the 12V model is 2.5 kilograms, and the weight of the 24V model is 2.8 kilograms), which is convenient for installation and carrying.

  • Cooling method: Cooling is performed by natural air convection without the need for additional cooling devices. It operates quietly and is energy-efficient.

  • Efficiency: The power supply efficiency is relatively high. The efficiency varies under different output voltages. For example, the efficiency is 85% when the output is 12V, and the efficiency is 87% when the output is 24V, etc., which can reduce energy loss and operating costs.

Note 1. All parameters NOT specially mentioned are measured at 230VAC input,rated load and 25℃ of ambient temperature.
2. Ripple&noise are measured at 20MHz of bandwidth by using a 12 "twisted pair -wire terminated with a 0.1uf and 47uf parallel capacitors.
3. Tolerance:includes set up tolerance,line regulation and load regulation.
4. Derating output is required under low input voltage. Please refer to the derating curve for details.
5. The power supply should be considered as a part of the components in the system. All EMC tests will test the test samples on a metal iron plate with a thickness of 1mm, a length of 360mm * width of 360mm.
